Moel Famau

The high point in the Clwydian Range, Moel Famau is a good place to start exploring. With iconic Georgian Jubilee Tower at the summit it’s easily spotted, and after a bit of legwork to the top you’re rewarded with incredible panoramic views across Merseyside, the coast, Snowdonia and the Dee Valley. Keep a lookout for the locals; skylarks and rare black grouse are just two of the species at home in the open heather moorland.
