Plas Uchaf Open Days at Corwen

Join us at the first Landmark Open Day at Plas Uchaf  Saturday 7 – Sunday 8 September, 10am-4pm. We are opening this building as part of Cadw Open Doors. Explore the building and find out more about its history and restoration.

This Landmark will be open on the same weekend as Dolbelydr open days approximately 40 minutes’ drive.

A substantial hall-house which was built in about 1400 and is situated on the side of a low hill in the Dee valley, an area filled with scenery, wildlife and history. Few houses of this age survive in Wales and the quality of work at Plas Uchaf is exceptional.

Plas Uchaf sits on the side of a low hill in the Dee valley, near Corwen in the heart of the North Wales countryside. It is within easy reach of Snowdonia. Nearby Rhug farm shop offers a many high quality local, Welsh and organic products.

The breathtaking Lake Bala is 20 minutes drive from Plas Uchaf. Enjoy the stunning views on the Bala Lake Railway, or get involved with some watersports if you are feeling more energetic.
