Dinas Bran Castle, Clwydian Range and Dee Valley AONB

Podlediad newydd yn archwilio hanes Castell Dinas Brân wedi’i lansio

Mae cyfres newydd o straeon wedi’u creu gan Sarah Baylis a’u cynhyrchu gan Sally Harrison dan y teitl – ‘Capturing the Castle: A Journey Through Time.’

Mae’r podlediad yn mynd â gwrandawyr am dro gyda Sarah, o Bont Llangollen at gopa Castell Dinas Brân, gan gerdded gyda’r nifer o ‘ysbrydion’ sydd wedi bod ar yr un daith dros y 200 mlynedd diwethaf.

Mae eu geiriau – dyfyniadau o lythyrau, teithlyfrau, papurau newydd, barddoniaeth a chân – wedi’u lleisio gan bobl leol a ymatebodd i alwad am gyfranwyr i ddarllen straeon y cymeriadau hanesyddol. Mae aelodau’r gymuned yn cymryd rhan hefyd, gan roi safbwynt modern o’r Castell gan bobl leol ac ymwelwyr. Mae’r recordiad yn cynnwys perfformiad o gerddoriaeth draddodiadol ar y delyn gan Tom Parry, a’r faled werin Fictoraidd, ‘Jenny Jones’, wedi’i chanu gan Jennie Coates.

Wedi’i osod dros amser, mae’r lleisiau amrywiol hyn yn cofnodi hanes y Castell – yn adrodd ei hanes o wahanol safbwyntiau, ac yn darparu sylwebaeth sy’n newid ar y tirlun darluniadwy a thwf twristiaeth hyd heddiw yn Nyffryn Dyfrdwy.

Yn ddiweddar, cafodd y recordiad 48 munud ei gynnwys yn arddangosfa gyffrous Dyffryn Dyfrdwy | Dee Valley yn Oriel Dory yn Llangollen, lle cafodd ei ail-chwarae mewn cornel fechan o’r oriel, ynghyd â chardiau post hanesyddol o’r ardal. Ar ôl yr arddangosfa, mae wedi bod ar gael fel podlediad ar Soundcloud ac ar wefan AHNE Bryniau Clwyd a Dyffryn Dyfrdwy.
